Back Yard Macro Part 2

Not true macro as I didn't use a macro lens. I used my trusty voigtlander 35mm/1.7, along with a couple of tiffen magnifying filters, +4 and +2. This got me pretty good magnification without having to be super close to the subjects. While adding filters of any type can create some image quality degradation, I was very happy to see that the sharpness of the voigtlander still shined through.

Visit to the Michigan Firehouse Museum

Michigan Firehouse Museum is located in downtown Ypsilanti. My son loves going there, not just to look at the vast collection of firetrucks from over the years but because he gets to buy a toy firetruck every time he visits. This also gave me a chance to shoot with the voigtlander 35/1.7 mounted with a new adapter from Hawk's Factory. This adapter has a helicoid ring that greatly improves the minimum focusing distance.

Trip to the Henry Ford Museum

Took my son to one of his favorite places over the weekend, Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn MI. Sky loves cars and the Henry Ford has no shortage of them.
Lens was my trusted Voigtlander 35/1.7.

University of Michigan Museum of Natural History

Took my son to the University of Michigan Museum of Natural History Saturday afternoon. He was interested in animals big enough to eat him!
All pics were taken using the voigtlander 35/1.7.

Voigtlander 35mm f/1.7

Playing around with my newest lens, a legacy Voigtlander Ultron 35mm f/1.7. The sharpness of this lens is simply amazing.
